HSM Aero ensures that spray painting of the pre-treated parts is carried out within the 16 hour required timescale to maximise paint adhesion and minimise quality issues. Procedures are detailed and highly controlled with all process steps recorded for full traceability.
Chromate Conversion coating is a type of conversion coating used to passivate aluminium alloys. It is primarily used as a corrosion inhibitor, primer, decorative finish, or to retain electrical conductivity.
High specification spray bake booths with anti-static lining provide a controlled environment for the perfect finish. Skilled operators follow exacting paint requirements to conform to industry paint standards. Aerospace and military specification paints can often have a narrow range of tolerances, high specification spray guns are used to give complete control of coating thickness to ensure gloss level and part uniformity are maintained from batch to batch.

This allows us to achieve tight tolerances on your work, usually achieving +/- 0.02mm on complex geometries. We regularly mill ferrous and non-ferrous materials including aluminum, steel, copper, titanium and bronze.
